A cascading style sheets (CSS) describes the formatting of styles within a website page. It enables the content of a page to be managed seperately from the styling, and means universal style changes can be managed at a site level.

CSS can allow the web page to display differently depending on the screen size or device on which it is being viewed.

The CSS specifications are maintained by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
