Open Lab is a design studio based within the College of Creative Arts at Massey University, Wellington. Open Lab is staffed by professional designers, student designers and academic staff. It has a mandate to act as a bridge between the College of Creative Arts and industry, giving students commercial experience, and putting research-active design academics in touch with industry projects. It is a collaborative studio environment where designers consciously engage the client, stakeholders or users in the process as much as possible.
